Motorhome rental in Serbia

A motorhome gives you freedom in the Balkans, but it has its own rules and costs. What to discuss with the company before the trip.

Which licence you need

For a motorhome with a total weight of up to 3.5 t, category B is usually enough. The exact requirements for weight, age and driving experience are set by the rental company: check them before you book.

Dimensions and parking

A motorhome is taller and longer than a car: check the height and width at entrances, in tunnels, on bridges and in old towns. In central Belgrade parking a large vehicle can be difficult.

Toll roads

The toll for a motorhome is, as a rule, higher than for a car: it depends on height and the number of axles. Find out the vehicle category and whether it has a TAG in advance. More: toll roads.

Where to sleep

It is best to choose campsites and places where motorhome parking is allowed. The rules on overnight stays differ between municipalities, so check on the spot and with the rental company.

Deposit, mileage and insurance

The deposit for motorhomes is usually higher than for cars, and there is often a daily mileage limit. Ask about the insurance, the excess and cross-border terms, and what the kit includes (dishes, bedding, gas, water). All motorhomes: the motorhome catalogue.

Pick a car

Choose the city and dates: the price has no hidden fees. The contract is signed directly with the rental company.
